We’re not meant to grieve alone.
Losing a pet is real.
Pet Loss is often misunderstood and minimized.
People around you don’t understand your grief.
You may be struggling to see the path forward.
You may be dealing with feelings of guilt and sadness.
You may be feeling judged for your grief.
I’ve been there. Losing my dogs, Jake & Bear, started me on a journey I didn’t want to be on. The pain that ensued was palpable and devastating. I didn’t know where to turn, and no one understood my grief.
I found ways to cope through my spiritual community, through meditation and prayer, and by finding ways to express the feelings of loss and pain that helped me feel validated and seen.
